Is It Too Late For Johnny Depp To Turn His Life Around?

Although many people consider 2016 to be one of the worst years in recent memory, few stars had it as bad as Johnny Depp did this year. Formerly one of the biggest actors in the world, a series of personal setbacks and a deteriorating physical appearance have many wondering if Johnny Depp is on the fast track to destruction.

Depp lost his mother this year, but the story that really made news was his high-profile divorce from fellow actor Amber Heard. Rife with abuse allegations, the long, drawn-out legal parting has left the world unsure how to feel about Depp. Many people have even called for a boycott of the actor’s films.

Despite the whispers about his health and well-being, Depp is hardly slowing down. As a part-time musician, he’s turned to music as an emotional outlet, touring the world with his band Hollywood Vampires. This year, he also starred in short movie Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal: The Movie, playing the president-elect himself. Some of his other noteworthy roles include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Alice Through the Looking Glass, where he stepped into the zany world of the Mad Hatter.

However, Depp will soon reprise arguably the biggest role of his career as Captain Jack Sparrow in 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales alongside stars Javier Bardem and Kaya Scodelario. There’s even a trailer out for those who want an early preview.

We won’t know if Depp still has the acting chops to bring Sparrow to the silver screen — or if the public will even have him now that he’s mired in scandal. Unfortunately for many women who liked this Hollywood hunk for his looks, it appears that he decided to go method for the role by letting his teeth deteriorate to the level of an actual pirate.

Depp has been spotted at movie premieres unrelated to his role as Jack Sparrow with a mouth full of metal and yellow teeth. His chompers are so bad that he makes Charlie Sheen look like the poster-boy for responsible dentistry. Between this and his other behavior, we have serious doubts about whether or not Johnny is still okay.

Here’s hoping he has a better 2017.
